The rumours linking Adams with Everton seem to have been going on for a while now.
Frank Lampard was desperate for striking additions in August and The Telegraph reported that Adams was top of his wish list.
Southampton refused to sell and Everton ended up signing Neal Maupay in a deal that really hasn’t worked out.
Adams hasn’t exactly enjoyed the best season either, notching just five goals and three assists in 28 Premier League appearances.
The 26-year-old does have real talent though and has been hailed as ‘terrific’ by former Scotland international Ally McCoist.
Everton have been chasing Adams for a while now and this summer feels like the perfect time to finally do a deal – if the Toffees stay up.
It also feels very fitting; one of Adams’ three middle names is ‘Everton’, so maybe fate is calling him to Goodison Park.
