Kieran Maguire has blasted Farhad Moshiri for his silence throughout the takeover process with 777 Partners at Everton.
Speaking on The Price of Football podcast on Thursday (21 March), the football finance expert said you have to wonder why the Toffees owner approved the US investment as prospective owners in the first place as the deal is currently hanging in the balance.
He added that the Iranian businessman has been silent for months with regards to any developments and has not made any efforts to find an alternative to the group, even though there are other parties who are interested in taking over at Goodison Park.
“I think everybody has reached the end of their tether,” said Maguire. “You have to wonder why Farhad Moshiri approved 777 Partners as prospective owners in the first place and why he, as the custodian of the club, has been silent with regards to developments over recent months and has not made efforts to find somebody else as an alternative yet.
“We know that there are other people who are interested, but we can only presume 777 have exclusivity at present.”

There is a good chance that the 777 takeover is not going to receive the required approval from the Premier League as a decision is expected in the coming days.
There are just far too many question marks surrounding the company’s suitability after a lot of negative reports have emerged over the past few months.
